Drop-in Underwater Hockey
Underwater Hockey is an exciting sport involving strategy, skill and fitness. Played at the bottom of a pool using snorkeling gear, teams try to get the weighted puck into the opposing goal by using short curved sticks. The sport is relatively low-impact, a good cross-training activity and offers an interesting break from other traditional sports. All sorts of fitness levels are welcome as the water serves as "the great equalizer."
Our club members come from all kinds of backgrounds, many water-related. The games feature a mix of beginners to experienced players and we try to accommodate needs where possible. Both men and women play together (aka "co-ed") and generally we have a ratio of 60-70% male to 30-40% female. The atmosphere is very social and we maintain a high level of respect and safety.
