Updated March 21, 2022

We have always taken our direction from the Government leaders and Public Health experts. As a result, effective March 21, 2022, the following procedures will be updated for the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre:

  1. Our mask mandate will change from “mandatory” to “optional”
  2. Physical distancing will no longer be enforced
  3. If you come in close contact with an individual or a family member who has tested positive for COVID-19 and you are symptom-free, you no longer have to self-isolate, but you will be required to wear a mask for 10 days from the date of exposure.

The term “optional” means if you are more comfortable wearing a mask, please continue to do so. Even though masks will no longer be legally required, we recommend that all facility users follow best practices and have a mask available in the event a situation requires you to wear one. We would also ask all users to be considerate and compassionate of others whatever their mask decision may be.

The Government of Ontario has continued to ease many of the public health measures that have been in place to curb the spread of the COVID-19 Omicron variant. As a result, starting on March 1st 2022, you will no longer be required to provide proof of vaccination to access the facility.

Based on user feedback, we are changing our reservation system for some sessions.

Facility users can now enter through the North, South, or East entrances regardless of program activity.

There will be three types of program sessions.

1) Walk-In Only (No reservations needed): these sessions do not require advanced reservations and are first come first serve. They will not appear in our self-service portal.

2) Reservation Only: these sessions can only be booked through our reservation system up to 48 hours in advance.

3) Reservations & Walk-In: A number of spots will be made available and can be reserved up to 48 hours in advance in our self-service portal AND there will be some spots available for walk-ins. Please click on the self-service portal session to find out the class total, number of advanced reservations, and number of walk-ins.

March 1st, we will return to the full-time use of our turnstiles for access to non-public areas of the facility. All users will need to scan at the turnstiles. Users will be automatically checked into reservations when they scan.

Staff will also confirm your attendance at the field of play for sessions that require a  reservation.

All drop-in sessions require a wristband and need to be checked in at customer service before entering through the turnstiles.
